OUR MUM, BORN IN BETHNAL GREEN, EAST LONDON 14TH AUGUST 1931 BUT AT A YOUNG AGE MOVED TO DAGENHAM WITH HER MUM AND DAD AND BROTHERS EDDIE AND ERNIE AND SISTER JOYCE, SHE MET MY DAD AT A LOCAL DANCE THE ROUNDHOUSE, A YEAR LATER THEY GOT MARRIED, THEY HAD 2 DAUGHTERS AND 1 GRANDSON ELAINE, JOANNE, TONY.
SHE WORKED FOR THE MET POLICE IN THE CATERING DEPT,TILL SHE RETIRED, BUT ILLNESS SET IN SHE HAD 3 HEART ATTACKS, AND HAD TO HAVE A TRIPLE BYPASS, A MINOR STOKE, BUT THE FINAL ONE WAS LUNG CANCER, SHE WAS SADLY TAKEN ON 30TH NOVENBER 1997.
ANY ONE WHO NEW BAB'S WOULD SAY SHE WAS A WONDERFUL STRONG WOMAN BUT NOT TO BE CROSSED, I KNEW THIS AND WE CLASHED FOR YEARS AS I WAS GROWING UP, BUT IT WASN'T TILL I GOT OLDER IT WAS BECAUSE WE WERE SO ALIKE, SHE WAS A BRILLIANT MUM AND I REALISED THAT TO LATE. IM JUST SO GRATEFUL I HAD MY MUM AS A FRIEND IN THE LATER YEARS.

i miss my mum
when times get tough i think, what would my mum say, what would she do? always the front of the family, when you went i had to take your place care for dad, my sister and nephew it's not easy, but you have dad back by your side now and i know your happy and looking out for each other again, but just keep sending me the signs, and help me to stay strong.....xxx
